I didnt pay attention man,but im gunna take a wild guess and say there was still about 3-4 L of 98 ULP in my fuel tank so this fuel tank i will let you kno my KM's since there shouldnt be any 98ulp left

Been running E85 in the Evo now for a few months; I'm no expert but my feedback below:

Fuel Consumption - on 98 was averaging 350km before the low fuel light came on, on E85 comes on around 250ish

Installation/Tune - All I needed was injectors - $450ish for 1100cc High Z injectors. Could have gone with $350 ones that would have done the job. Tune cost $1300 for a dual map tune so can switch between 98 and E85, in hindsight should have just got an E85 tune for $600 or so. Was paying around $1.50-$1.60/L for 98, now paying around $1.20-$1.25 for E85.

Availability - enough servos in Sydney that sell E85, and it will grow.

Cold Start - no issues. As the BYP boys said, just tune your cranking fuel table and it will start first time every time.

Temps - don't have a gauge but confident I can do constant laps at the track and not have to worry about engine temps getting ridiculously high.

Power - by far the best mod done to the car done so far. Stock - 160kw, intake and exhaust plus boost control and tune - 200kw, E85 - well over 250kw. A 250kw car on E85 feels much stronger than a 250kw car on 98, the shove in the back is unreal. Ask anyone who has driven or had a ride in my car and they will tell you its plenty fast. I don't see the need for any more power at this stage, very happy so far.

used my first tank of United 100 Octaine ULP and got 610km outta 47 litres.
So worked it out via the net's conversion calculator.
Consumption in Litres per 100 Kilometres: 7.7L
Consumption in Kilometres per Litre: 12.99km

Very impressed... Will see if this continues...
On my second tank now, will see how it goes again..
Very happy considering 100 Octaine ULP at Untied is the same price as 98 BP Ultimate.

How much additional timing did u guys set above a petrol tune?(a rough over all figure). Did u tune using exhaust temps or wideband o2 sensor and what type of reading were u aiming for?

                        Fuel numbers still look good!

You went E85 with no internal work? Just bolt-ons?
May i ask.. Why? I don't see the need for it :|

Even after when my motor gets built next year, i'll be getting it tuned to 100 Octaine (Pump Fuel), I'd never go E85

What's the need for E85 like seriously? (Im not having a go or being smart or anything)
Where the hell do you even get E85 from considering not everyone stocks it?

100RON is easily attained in Victoria now and i believe BP is in the works to produce it.
                            http://www.unitedpetroleum.com.au/st...ls/Premium-100

As i said above, full details haven't been discussed but even if SUGGESTED i will refuse to go upon E85, 98/100 RON only.
Why would i go on something that isn't readily available to me for one?
I understand E85 is the cleaner fuel but i don't believe in it's benefits.
Details of my motor build will be kept with me until final details are done and dusted and by the way, i won't be using the K24 that you guys so recommend to everyone.

I've heard enough stories of car thats go on E85 that have engine problems down the line.

But HEY, i ain't a tuner nor a engine builder.
I'll take his advice on board but i'll stand by 100RON over E85
this is watajk off ozhonda..... nuff said LOL.

Benny/anyone, what kind of gains would you see when using supercharged k series? i can image the gains would be amplified being F/I, say your running 230kw atw's on 98, what kind of numbers could you expect with service station grade e85?

                                Thats some decent numbers.

Any figures for fuel consumption? I know it burns alot faster but im guessing the cheaper prices at the bowser would offset that a little ($ vs kilometres wise).
