    Check Engine Light (CEL)

    Hey guys

Got something that's been bothering me for awhile now.

For some background story, I bought a Toda header off a member here that was modified by a well established exhaust shop to be fitted with a cat. It had the gasket missing so I gave the exhaust shop a call and the guy there informed me that the gasket was a ITR JDM gasket and to get it off JDMyard.

I was informed that the AUDM gasket is the same size as the JDM (not by my mechanic, the establishment will remain anonymous), so I used the same one that was on my car - but during the installation process, it was recognised that it was far too small and my mechanic just bolted it together and told me to not drive it too much and to find the right gasket immediately with the measurement of the ID of the gasket needed to be 60.5mm.

After 20mins, the CEL came on. I rang JDMyard and ordered the DC5 JDM gasket, which turned out to be 65mm. I fitted it anyway, trusting my recollection RE: the exhaust shop tips, and after a scan it was unvieled that my error was: P0137 - Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Secondary HO2S) (Sensor 2) Circuit Low Voltage.

After clearing the error database, it didn't come on for a few days (so I thought it was rectified) - until today when it appeared again.

Would the correct size gasket fix the problem or is there actually something wrong with the sensor? I was told that the secondary sensor was extended to fit the replica 5zigen shorty + 2-1 JDM cat and I didn't have the problem with it then so I assume the sensor was correctly extended?

Or could it be excessive exhaust leaking causing the sensor to malfunction?

I've sent a text to my mechanic already, but I don't have too much time this week and I'd really like this sorted out!

    Thanks for reading
    Pete
