B18B blown headgasket options

hey guys my headgasket has blown on my b18b engine, i was just wondering how much mechanics charge to replace the headgasket etc, and will this affect my engine in any way ? because i cant afford to do a engine conversion or rebuild any time soon.

head gasket = 135 from Honda.

to get it done by a mechanic = 500-1000

doing it yourself is not hard... as long as you have the tools and a factory manual (which is available on the internet)

How bad is it but!
The head could be warped or you could have got some water in your oil?

i dont have time to do it myself, can anyone recommend any reasonable price mechanics ? yea the coolant is with the oil and its milky, probably will need to be machined.

Worth cheacking out the engine importers for a price on a new b18b motor. You get a better deal if your motor has high km's
