    Oil levels

Ok i have somthing happening that i cant figure out.. If my car sits there for say a week, then check the oil level with out running it, it will show on the lower dot.. The ground is 100% level ect. If i take it for a quick drive, then let it settel for say 10 minutes. It will show at the high dot... Don't under stand why im getting differ reading by so much.. I changed the oil today.. I dropped just bellow 4 L.. So the right amounts was in there!! Its a dc2R by the way. Could some one shed some light.. Thank you!

Have you taken into account that oil expands once hot?

Don't be fooled you are still low on oil. How long do you let it sit after you drive and did you wipe the dip stick.

Check the flux-capacitor level isn't low, that could be giving you false oil level readings.

Man, I wouldn't worry about it. Does your car drop any oil when you park it?

I don't think it is an issue usually when oil cycles though the motor not all the oil is in the pan. But if the car has been sitting for a week it should read on the dip stick.

well id say the thing is burning the oil if anything... because that is was hondas do... check oil on flat surface and when engine is cold and hasnt been started yet....if its on low then top it up if ya worried!!

Burning oil is normal for vtec engines. those that claim they dont burn oil just dont drive their car hard enough burn any away.
