Can anyone tell me what this "object" is, and where it should go?

Recently my dc2r went in for some work on the front bar, and when i got the car back the workshop appeared to have fitted a part where it does not belong. At the momment it has been placed near the driver side headlight under the abs bracket.

I've taken some pictures and would be grateful if someone could locate where its actually meant to go. It appears to have cables running to the highbeam and then it branches out towards the radiator where there is a plug connected to it.

Looks like it should connect to the headlight to me. Perhaps the bulb can be rotated down to mate up? Have you tried your headlights, both high and low beam?

Well thing is, it is connected to the highbeam so thats fine its just the mounting location that is incorrect. I'd just like to know where to put it correctly. Thanks

Yeah one of your other shots does show the headlight is connected. Does everthing else like indicators, park lights, horn etc work?

I had a look at some engine bay shots of my old dc2r and that item seems to be no where to be seen. Photo attached. Please don't rib me re the mugen sticker that I hadn't removed the top layer of yet.

my engine bay seems to have a lot more wires than yours nzitr.

I would think they added some shielding for the wires, why you so worried about a small part ?

Ah i'd like it to be where it should be,its also actually not quite secure because its one of those brackets that comes with an arm that helps secure it in place.I want to place my hids under that abs bracket after i work out where it should go

If your getting HID's you should upgrade the headlight sockets, chec out my link in ur other post.

doesnt matter, out of direct contact with water is most important...

it is safe to move it wherever the wires let it move to...

Is your car fitted with any sort of aftermarket alarm system? Wondering whether this relay or whatever it is, is part of something like that?

It has an optional car alarm that was fitted by the dealer, if anyone has time can they please look under their radiator fluid bottle?. I saw another integra in the workshop and thats where it was located however i couldnt locate the same mounting points in the type r.

i moved an identical relay when i installed my oil filter relocation...

i dont understand what the problem is?
