URGENT help!! leaking fluid under car

Hey guys need all your help on this one.

I was changing the brake pads today of my DC2R for next weeks wakefield day and as i was pushing the piston back into place with a C clamp a liquid leaked under the car. This liquid was yellow, and was leaking from above the front right CV joint boot, it maybe was coming from a hose plug which was atatched to a valve that had a bright yellow cap. (post pics soon)

I checked the brake fluid level under the bonnet and it looked full.

Im really worried that i have a leak or something worse and i can't be tracking next week.

Please let me know what the symptoms are cause to!

Was the reservoir really full? Is it possible that when you pushed the piston back in the fluid pushed back into the reservoir caused it to overflow? And it just dripped down? Seems foolish I know, but I just thought I would mention it as I have done this before. Got a picture of where the leak was?

I think your right, but what would this mean? that the fluid has expanded over time?

Normally the hand brake light comes on.. And poeple just top up the fluid.. The fluid is low as the pads have thinned.. So before you every top up the fluid, you check the pads.. I did this on my 1st car.. Brake light came on.. I topped up the fluid.. Then a month latter i replaced the pads and it over flowed every where.. If it hasn't been toped up since last pad change it shouldn't over flow.. Unless you over open the brake with the G clamp!! Also brake fluids very corrosive... Clean it up!!!!!!!

Have you topped up the brake fluid before? Obviously if you have added fluid with worn pads and then you go back to new thicker pad the volume of fluid in the caliper will be less and will end up overflowing at the reservoir. Most stock brake systems are set up so that the reservoir will be empty or nearly empty when the pads require replacement, so if no fluid is added during the life of the pads the low fluid level serves as a warning to check the pads.

I would just clean the area then change the fluid and keep an eye out for any more missing fluid.
