    Kpro users group

    Hi Guys,

It seems like I have been procrastinating on these boards without really contributing too much. Having a look around and seeing so many users with k-pro on their cars (wish I had one. Guess its time to save, save, save.) but it seems like the only thing they do is get a professional to tune the car and leave a little laptop to data log the car.

What am I getting at here? well someone has sparked an interest for me to get into knowing my car a little better and striving for a tune that is suited to my driving habits. I have decided to learn as much as I can and documenting all my findings on a website, what I want to accomplish is to have a one stop shop with links, faqs, guides, info and what ever else i'm missing.

Hopefully I can get this up and running with the help of the wonderful forum members to really make full use of the k-pro. I believe that if we all contribute we can really gain a better understanding of our cars and how to tune, not only k-pro but other cars too. With the wealth of information out there I believe this is possible.

What do you guys think? Mods maybe we can get this as another section on the forums or have a sticky? up to you.

Even though I don't have k-pro I can get as much information about the "how to, do's and don't's" before I purchase my k-pro and go tune crazy.

Thanks all from me. Let me know what you think.

    Regards Louis

An ECU sub section inside technical would be cleaner than inside general technical section.

    I support your idea.

I don't see the point of having a sub section for ECU...cos then next people will want tyres, or Exhaust etc etc...

If you guys want to make it easier for searching then start your threads with something such as [ECU] or [KPRO].

Reason why we don't have much sub-forums on here is because we want to keep it simple and not cluttered up like other forums out there.

Also, any such thread is unlikely to differ from other threads discussing other technical information. That said, depending on the quality and usability of the information, then perhaps it can be stickied, but not before there is actually valuable information.

You also have to remember that the KPRO is one option of several for the DC5R and perhaps not the most common ecu used in DC2s.

Well when i have the info i will post it. Sticky sounds good. =]
Well i wanted to try not to focus too much on just kpro but develop a section or sticky for the basics for tuning so not only can we understand the tuning of just kpro but any other ecu out there that is tunable. Understanding the basics will be a good foundation for any application we wish to tune.

Tuning is not just simple read up on it and learn.
Each motor will respond differently to how you tune it.
It's a bit of a black art IMO.

The only tuning I got to do was on my nitro RC car. You can really see the difference in acceleration when it's running dog ass rich.

I know tuning isn't just read and go, its about putting that theory into practice. We all have to start somewhere, just wanted a place where we can all get some information.

brake pad thread, tyres etc are all stickies...

you can also use the sticky to method for a ECU/Tuning threaad

posty it up and we will stick it - or we can sticky this thread and go on from here?

Better start a new thread then sticky it

You can use this to collect information if you want.
