    What I found today while doing some DIY

    replaceing my radiator today, and while doing so decided to change the thermostat and fan switch as well and go a bit of a shock when i pulled the old thermostat out!

    and hello! :







    As you can see i have aquired a rather large 10mm nut lodged in my thermostat? that cant be good? where could have this come from?
    car has been running fine no issues at all...

    Just thought id share for a bit of a laugh! haha

      yep it used to take like 15 mins driving it... n on idle frm night before atleast 20mins it was painful!!!

          haha makes me laugh!

          thats why when we changed the coolant last, i was waiting for the fans to kick over and it took a good 10-15 mins ! haha

                            It takes longer to warm up to operating temperature if thermostat is left open. By not thrashing it whilst cold, you allow the oil to warm up to its ideal operating temperature. Once it is at its ideal operating temperature, the car is fine.
