New Cooling Fan for koyo rad dc2r

hey guys just opened up my new Koyo Rad today and instantly realised how much thicker it is than OEM on a dc2r, sparking a good perspective theory that, in fact the OEM fans will not fit on it.

Correct me if im wrong though please. If im correct, that they will not fit, can someone please refer me towards a suitable new fan which is simple bolt on for the koyo radiator.

They will not fit. unless you start hacking the plastic surroundings off.

Just put slim fans on. PM if you need any. Universal fit.

i am in the same boat, currently installing 2 x 12" craig davies fans on. i don't want to mount the fan via bolts in between the fins, so sourcing other methods.

i think the 14" will fit as well (not as the AC fan) however i was worried about the AMPS, so thought i best stuck with 2 x 12" instead of a 12 + 14 combo.

i have toda extractors and the 12" on the AC side is fairly close...lets hope the materials holds up against the heat.

oh yeah you will need a Type F Cap, the stock cap Type D didn't fit on my Koyo Rad

heat isnt an issue for me as i have heat wrapped pipes so thats one worry to cross off ah yes thought a Type F would be needed thanks for the confirmation. where did u get ur Type F cap from and what is it? any you'd recommend?

Koyo apparently make their own but i couldn't source it. end up getting spoon though it is 1.35, maybe j's racing or mugen? or just get local stuff. got mine from rmsmotorsports in vic
