My engine and car number don't match up

This was brought to my attention by another member of these forums who's numbers also don't match up.

My plate and chassis are #0065, but the number printed on the engine is 0066
has anyone else noticed this on their cars?

Don't worry about that ^

What it means is that somewhere along the production line of the first 66 blocks there was a faulty / defective engine.

I've seen this plenty of times.
