    225's on a DC5R 16x6.5' wheel?

Whats everyone's thought on this.. Too wide?

BTW, it will be a semi slick, soa much stiffer sidewall.

Maybe not too wide, but probably wider than ideal. Doubt it would be noticeably faster than a 205, which is already too wide for a 6.5" wheel in my opinion. I wouldn't mount a 225 tyre on anything narrower than an 8" wheel if I could help it, but I am weird like that.

      that's not weird at all.

225 is normally standard on a 7.5" wheel. on a 6.5" it's too wide IMO.

        which tyre might help?

semi's have several design attributes that are relevant to choosing rim width...

The tyres im possibly looking at are re55s.

Atm im looking at 7,7.5,8" wheels. I just wanted to know eeveryone's take on fitting 225semis onto a 6.5" wheels. The 6.5" is last resort. I mean stock tyres on dc5r are 205 /55 but im also looking at semi's which are indeed stiffer but i think it is too wide. We'll what i can come up with.
