    help with wheels for dc5r

    Hey Guys,

I am looking to get some new wheels for my dc5r. I was just wondering what Offset is best to go with to fill out the guards. I am a bit wary of just going by the recomended offset by the wheel company because they are more than likely refering to the jdm model. One more thing - how do the dc5's ride on 18's (comfort, handling etc), or am I better off going with 17's.

    Thanks guys.

I rekn the stock offset of +45 sits in too deep in the guards. I would go for 17x7.5 with a offset like +30 to + 38.

Closer to the +30 end of the spectrum is ideal

+30 is perfect lines up with the fender, just refer to jonnieR bling car pics cos he's got +30 offset

Thanks guys - really helpful. So 30 front and back would be ideal (even when the car is quite low?).

              Cheers

i use to run 225/45/17 +30mm lowered to 1 1/2 finger gap front and 1 finger gap rear, no rubbing

if you want to play it safe then run +35

30mm at rear will not be ideal if you run camber kit in the rear with -1 corrected from factory -3

yeah well my car Is fairly low and I was thinking of the camber kit. Would 30 front and 35 rear look strange? Or would 35 F + R be the best option. Thanks again for the help.

it would not look strange i hardly doubt you will be able to pick the difference between 30/35 unless u compare them next to each other

The only problem will be when you wanna rotate your tyres, youd actually have to get them swapped from rim to rim.... I'd probly stick to the one offset all round, +35 would still fill out the guards nicely

cool - I will probably go for +35 all round or maybe +32 as some of the wheels I am looking dont come in +35. Thanks for all the help
