    Comparison between Tein Flex/SS/Mugen Sports

    Hi all,

I'm running a DC5R with Mugen Sports Suspension at the moment am considering upgrading to either Tein Flex (FS here) or Tein SS.

    Mugen Suspension
    - Perfectly matched shock and spring for day to day driving. Stiffer than OEM but not too harsh.
    - Non-linear springs
    - However, no height/damper adjustment.

    Tein Flex
    - Pillow ball top mounts
    - Damper adjustment
    - Spring perch/shock body adjustment

Is it worth the upgrade, considering I track the car occasionally? What is Tein Flex like on softest setting on the streets compared to Mugen?

    Cheers All

your mugen suspension will be a hell of a lot more comfortable then anything with a pillowball mount which will bash you around on most shitty sydney roads. If you are prepared to accept the sacrifice in comfort and road noise then either will give you a stiffer ride with camber adjustment for the track.

Note that the flex and SS are both not monotube dampers but the flex has independant ride height adjustment whereas the SS doesn't.
