    Fake/replica rims

    Saw this on the EXE forum and thought it would an interesting read on fake/replica rims for the people here.

      mmmm heard some really gruesome stories about replica rims but some people can't justify the costs....

          not disagreeing with u... i bought a second hand set of wheels with a fair bit of damage but at a decent price i believe..... (gutter etc)

            like i said on the jdm st forum..

            the rota grids - i was ok running them, as rota are consdiered a decent "fake" brand. and also the spoeks of the GRID/TE37 are fat! less prone to weakness/weksos thana ce28n fake rim or a cr kai rim.

                  Rota is actually a decent brand when it comes to Rims... There quality isn't to bad... Just much heavier then genuine i believe...
                  Not saying i would trust them though lol

                      ROFL. Metal Composition and quality of fake rims obviously aren't up to the genuine ones, clearly thats why there is a price difference. But for companies such as Rota to manufacture rims on that of a large scale, i'm sure they would need to meet certain road standards.

                          Thickness doesn't mean strength though. It's the manufacturing process that's important.
