Which braided brake line to choose?

I'm in the process of buying braided brake lines. But i've looked on the net and there are countless brake lines. Which ones are the best? I see APP's, Goodridge, Mugen Micromesh, HEL...but which one? ..and do they differ?. Much appreciated if one could help.

I'm researchign brakes, and I would love to have a BBK, but thhey only raelyl jsut try and disperse ehat quicker than OEM setup. So im not paying more than 1500 for a bbk replacement.

I defiantly dont want to go with a BBK if it stuffs up brake bias on front and rear, and if i lose ABS, and if i have to use ana ftermarktet master cyclinder. .. i mostlike will jsut get dba slotted rotors n ugrade eveyrthing else

lose the ABS and enjoy the responce and feed back from the brakes dont they make a 40/40 valve thing to level out the bias?

You will not feel the difference between the big brands

Get a set that is ADR approved for insurance purposes.

From the brands you named I know Goodridge is ADR approved and I know the Mugen ones are not. For the others you will need to do your research.

Mhmhm... Does anyone know whether APP brake lines are ADR approved? i know its got something to do with the teflon wrap over the braided and another sheath coat or something but I can't seem to find the exact rules for it. The reason being is because I already purchased the APP brake lines after only realising the ADR approval is a must.

Anyone got any ideas on APP?

From what i've been told, only the Goodridge ones are ADR approved. APP and HEL aren't.

Mhmhm....i know goodridge is ADR approved. But are you 100% certain that APP isn't ADR approved? if so will an engineering certificate be needed?

I don't think that you have to worry about if they are ADR approved or not. I'm sure you have a lot of other things done to your car that are defectable and are not ADR approved

Yeh I suppose you do have a point there.

I would agree with you too but some people don't like running with risks. Especially for a part that you can easily/relatively cheaply replace and eliminate that risk.

just remember.. They do wear and tear .. Get a braided line with an outer protective coating to stop dirt getting in the braid..

I've already had one fail on me at high speed approaching red light, worth getting the version more suitable for street use.

The APP one has a teflon surrounding it. So hopefully it will stop the dirt from going in.
