    titanium welding

hey guys. so i've got a amuse r1 titan cat back, and recently it's been starting to rattle (quite loud at times). at first it was only when i hit bout 6k rpm or if i down gear from 3rd to 2nd, but now i'm starting to hear the rattle ever so slightly at 3k rpm (at times).

does this mean my resonator is cracked? if so, do i have to find someone who specialises in welding titanium, or can i just take it to anyone? also, would it be exxy to repair?

    any info would be appreciated
    cheers
    Daniel.

I know RDC-5™ had his Amuse R1 repaired at a place in south-east Melbourne. It was cut and welded. He gave me the number of the workshop that did it but I lost it so hopefully he will chime in, or you could send him a PM.

i had an amuse dual when i owned an s2000, one of the hangers snapped at the bend, caused a slight rattle on high revs. i asked around to repair it, and most exhaust shops wouldnt or couldnt repair it. some of the reasons cited were that u needed special welding equipment, titanium is also expensive, small repairs arent cheap.
the common fix was to weld an aluminium strap under the exhasut to hold it in place

I think the solution is to trade with me.
