    Sunroofs?

    a question out of interest,

    do DC2 ITR's come with sunroof's?

theres a couple on carsales.com.au. Should it be raising an eyebrow?
Honda Nationals, September 9-10, get amongst it!

Not factory fitted to my knowledge. It seems common for them to be dealer fitted to both DC5Rs and DC2Rs though.

Yeah some do.. It was one of the 'extras' from the dealer.

            Don't think it's a 'honda made' sunroof...

Sorry Tony.. but as a young P plater the R just brings TOO much unwanted attention especially when u live in the inner west where ppl dont appreciate quality mods and just wanna have the loudest car lol its a simple, yet definately not understated Audi A4 B7 Sports Edition lol nice classy and confortable... Im just gonna have to hold off untill i get my blacks b4 i enter the JDM scene again.. and trust me ILL make a lasting come back! lol
and just to add... as much as i wish an R8 is a lil outta my price range :P

Remember that a sunroof will take rigidity out of the shell, and if not done really well will leak.

If you want one maybe get a VTiR with Honda factory sunroof, you can still put all the ITR gear in it if you want.

I made that mistake years ago with a Ford Escort RS2000, mine was perfect and I put a pop-up sunroof before I decided I was going to start tracking it, and they were always better for resale with no sunroof.

                Cheers

so bottomline stay away from them? and could it possibly mean it was a vti-r in its preivous life?

No, not neccessarily so, the sunroof WAS a dealer option.

Best way to check is email the VIN and Engine number to Honda

                      http://contact.honda.com.au/

The above page is a form you can fill out and it goes to Honda, I usually get a reply within a day (sometimes even same day) and they can verifiy it's a genuine Type R, and the service history.
                      Cheers
