FN2 flow back to Japanese market, but just wondering who wants FN2 if FD2 also available in the same time?

FD2 won't be available much longer, hence why the FN2 is coming to Japan.

I think the FN2 will do well in Japan. Styling is very much related to alot of the new cars coming off the drawing board of late.

From what I understood they were going to sell both. The FN2 just doesn't compete with the FD2 because of the extra weight, non-independant rear suspension, less power and longer gearing. At least the JDM FN2 got a LSD standard where the european one only got it on the championship white FN2. Plus, why would they stop the FD2R when all the other normal civics are the same 4dr FD chassis (with minor differences of course on the R). If they're going to keep producing that 4dr Civic chassis for the normal models, I don't seem them stopping it just so the FN2R can hold the spot light by itself, Honda has had the Integra and Civic R selling at the same time with one another, they can have another two R's going at it.

Agreed, but the FD2 isn't going to be on sale much longer. There is a new sedan being developed to replace it. It's shorter term than people may think. It's certainly pencilled for 2010 from what I've heard from Murakami san at J's.

I could see this happening if the FD2R was replaced with a new one from the upcoming 9th gen Civic platform.
