Coz i really want to know the result as i don't have to really care and keep it in my mind all the time.
I don't think they would post it on time, i guess i would get it at the end of Jan if i got caught.

there is actually 3 different speed cameras in the tunnel, not sure which speed signs there after but have a look on the right hand side of the road in the right lane and you can see the white lines which are just before the cameras, these are used to calibrate them. not sure if they all work at once but my mate works for the rta and showed me where they all are just last month
anyway, all the best, just think how much safer the roads are since youv'e been caught

even though the speed limit was changed, the speed camera is still set to 80kmh.

unless they can remotely change it, i think.

Hmmm i was talking to a friend of mine who's cousin is a police officer.
I heard that the 'Safety' camera's detect and record the speed of a vehicle by using vehicle tracking radar or electronic detectors that are embedded in the road’s surface. These detectors accurately measure the speed of the vehicle. If the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit then a digital picture is taken of the offending vehicle and also is a red light camera

without all the extra crap, safety cameras are simply a speed and red light camera in one

So yes. That description is basically how fixed speed cameras have always worked, same with red light cameras.

The SPEED cameras are ONLY after the 3rd Speed sign or emergency door 15 heading towards the city and door 19 heading back. The other cameras are only for monitoring traffic/accidents. Its a different type of camera if you have a look closely (if u get a chance that is).
