CAMS In-Vehicle Battery Mounting Requirements

I just spoke to one of the blokes currently in the Super Sprint series but who also used to compete in IPRA in his Corolla. He said as long as it's a sealed type battery the only requirement is for it to be securely mounted.Originally posted by TODA RACING Aust - AdrianIn your case, clearly you have a combination that is bordering on crap...

have your corner weighed your car? is that why left rear?
The main reason why I'm going to the trouble of moving the battery is that I need room in the engine bay to relocate the catch can so I can install a cold air intake for the ITB's.
I'm using 2 gauge wire from the battery to an engine bay located distribution block via a kill switch. From the distribution block it's going to be 4 gauge to the main fuse box and starter motor; 8 gauge to the ABS fuse box and a 4 gauge run through the firewall from the alternator to the battery side of the kill switch.
The battery ranges in price from $285 - $300 in Australia, but Password JDM can do it for $140. Shipping cost is the kicker, so I'm going to find out whether it's viable to import it from the States.
It's been a bit of the pain finding the right lugs etc and some decent battery terminals. I'm going to start getting things together next weekend, so I'll post a few pics when I'm done.Last edited by WhiteDC2; 16-11-09, 07:28 AM.Originally posted by TODA RACING Aust - AdrianIn your case, clearly you have a combination that is bordering on crap...

Not all sealed bats are dry - Dry bats don't need to be in a box.MFactory Performance Products
