Need help pricing a 96' JDM DC2R

Hey guys,

Just need a rough price guide for a CW 96' JDM DC2R.
My younger brother is buying one and I need a rough price guide to go by before I check it out.

Specs:
Roughly 150-200k kms (I'm not too sure on this but round abouts)
Mugen Intake
Average Condition Black Recaros (fair bit of wear)
Average Condition Interior (been tracked and pulled apart occaisonally)
Average Condition Exterior (few dings and repaired rear bar)
Aftermarket Exhaust
Apart from that, pretty much stock.
Also, no noted motor issues, just well run in lol.

Definitely not spotless and on all round condition of the car I'd give it 5/10. I'm thinking around the 11k mark.

o nvm i seen how many hmmm alot of ks...cars prob been through hell.... but 11 is a bit weak man.... dont know of anyone that would sell an R for that....semi decent vtirs are selling for tht

Yeh that's true. The motor has never skipped a beat and has been looked after (serviced properly and frequently) but with all those k's we'll just have to place bets on which part will fail first. Anyone else with an opinion?

mine hasnt missed a beat either man but i thrash the fuck out of it lol although it aint beating atm due to coil but yeah lol gotta watch these sellers man...dude that sold me mine said he rebuilt motor cause he didnt trust prev owner...but found out of one of the fellas off here the motor had spun a bearing... just talk them down hardddd man ifthey dont take wat u offer shop round ..im sure other fellas on here will reply moro

If someone asked 16-20k for the car you just described i would laugh at them, but as we always see sellers that like to dream, whats he asking?

You can get an early dc5r for low 20's and its 5years and prob 100k's newer..

16-20k is far too high for what you've listed but $11k is kindof dreaming.

High km's, average condition, JDM 96 spec. I would say it would be no more than $15000.

i'd say around 13k, depending on rego & tyres, remember it's almost a 14 year old car in average condition, not exactly a collectors item

Good point, rego and tyres could vary the price a couple of grand.

Thanks for the advice, I'll be getting a proper inspection on it and I'll keep in mind around the 12k mark.

An average one from japan will cost around $5000 AUD + delivery.
