Price for dc2r in Oz ?

hey guys.. new the forums . im a kiwi.. ive just travelled the world with a whole group of austrailians and i love you guys.. we might take the piss out of each other, but believe me when your a kiwi walking through rome with an austrailian you become instant brothers lol. anyways i just wanted to know how much dc2r integras are worth in australia? i know you guys pay quite a bit for jap imports over there.. just like we pay heaps for holdens. just to put it in perspective.. ive just purchased a 1996 integra type r, 140,000kms, tein adjustable suspension, 17 dtm alloys, toda 4-2-1 headers and an intake setup.. all for $7,300. what would this be worth in australia? just curious thats all as my friend reckons his gts-t skyline is worth over 10k in oz buts it only worth about 5 - 6k here..

The asking price would be atleast 15, but then again it all depends on the buyers doesnt it, but yeah we get screwed when it comes to the price of imports and parts compare to you NZ guys.

I'd rather have cheap JDM cars than cheap Aussie shitboxes!

remember y'all, the TypeR he is asking about is a 1996 version, which is "first" 3rd gen, we didnt get the one, your putting up prices for the Oz dc2R which was the 1998 mid-year model change version.

altho maybe they might go for the same price....i have no idea..

but the gts-t, a 1990 model can be gotten for around 6k locally.

looks like its cheaper to buy dc2rs in NZ and ship em over here, plus the aussie dollar being a bit stronger

I wouldn't hesitate to suggest that a cheap car will be treated like a cheap car and on that basis that most examples that are available for lower price in NZ would likely be abused / ill-maintained etc.. I am assuming! If its a car you are going to keep for a long time (I will likely never sell my dc2r) then I don't really think its here nor there with a few extra K's on the price..

Also someone who can only afford a $10k car (i.e. if they had more money they would buy a more modern potentially higher performance car) is not likely to have much cash to really give the car the attention it needs .. They are starting to get old now!
