For a track/street tyre i would rate the KU36 over the RE001. That being said i havent used the RE001 on track before and i am basing this off the fact that the ku36 is in a category shared by the RE01R and AD07.
The KU36 must be pretty good if it is competing with discontinued tyres . Those categories are just marketing.

If you havnt used RE001 then dont say the KU36 are better. Its more of there marketing strategies to say there on the same level as RE01R and alike.

Ok thanks to clear that up. So would you say with a fresh set of RE001 will it be the same if not faster then the KU36?
to be honest I don't know
I still remember I was very impressed with KU36 at Turn 6 downhill...it held the car very well...where my car understeered there with RE001 and I had to do some adjustments
but like you said could be because the KU36 were still fresh
