    decisions decisions..

i will be looking to buy a new car for around 20k in the next month or so.
it will have to be automatic so that my wife can drive it.
i'd like something less boy-racer than the DC2R, but still a bit individual, luxurious and 'sports GT'. no more track-days for me, just a daily-driver, but still want an enjoyable drive. its gotta be 2000 modl or newer, reliable and reasonably fuel-efficient.

    i'm considering
    *Nissan Skyline 350GT 4 door V35
*Nissan Stagea 250t RS Four M35
    *Lexus IS200
    *Honda Accord Euro Luxury
*Toyota Mark II Tourer V / Chaser Tourer V JZX100
*Subaru Legacy GTB / Liberty B4
    *Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 TypeS

my wife also likes the Honda CRV and Toyota RAV4, but i'd prefer sumthn less 4x4..
any suggestions guys? recommendations? parts and reliability, esp for the VG25 and 4x4 drivetrain in the Stagea, and the Legnum's drivetrain and engine..i really like the Skyline 2door but dunno if a 2door is on the cards at this stage..

I'd rather drive a Corolla than an IS200. By today standards they're neither sporty nor luxurious.

Too bad she can't drive manual, otherwise I'd suggest one of the Altezza's currently for sale.

My parents have got a Euro and its a 'safe' option, but I'd probably rank it as the second most boring option before the IS200 performance wise. It is no GT cruiser.

I went through the same decision as you and ended up with a citroen c4, value for money I seriously couldn't find better.

And to be honest the build quality seems to be pretty good, on par with most toyota's and probably better than honda's current line up.

I'd look at some french cars too if i were in ur shoes.

Why buy IS200 when you can get GS300 for around the same price?

There are a few around 20k mark
