                  consider flexi-premiums - i know JustCar/AAMI have this.

so if u want to lower ur annual premium u will pay a higher excess (if you claim).

thats the way i'm doing it atm.

im with just car and funny thing is my premium went up this year, even though the car agreed value went down 3k, my age went up 1 year and im still living in the same place as last year.. no accidents in the past year either.

^ the risk associated with your car has gone up.

same thing happens to me with a dc2r with WQBE
my sister made a claim for her civic in a self accident with WQBE, and they sent a private investigator, asking things about income, most recent debt, spending history etc....
                        luckiy it all went smoothly..

Just car lost me as a customer.
Their imposed excesses are ridiculous.. like a $500 vehicle excess that went up to $800 the last time my terms were issued.
I questioned them time and time again about it. Not that I ever made a claim with them, but it kept going up, however my premium always came down.

I work as an underwriter for a major insurer in Australia, i know how it all works. However i was shocked by the customer service i received from JCI when questioning my policy. They think just because you have a modified car that you have no avenues for insurance other than them. In my experience, either get a broker, or if you are over 25 contact famous insurance, dawes, or vigil insurance for very competative quotes.

Said this last time but I'm still with them and havent needed anything yet. Bingle.com.au are about $800 with no vehicle modifications allowed, which suits me just fine.

insurance time is around the corner for me again guys!

famous has just sent me a renewal and the premium has barely gone down, excess has gone up, single vehicle accident excess has doubled and there is also a theft excess that wasn't there in the old policy!

i just turned 25 two weeks ago, so i think i have more options now.

tried an online quote from shannons and gio just then but no good. aami seems to be the cheapest for me so far.

any other companies out there guys?
