    Cleaning recaro's

I thought this had been covered before but a quick search wielded me no results

Anyways I was wondering if anyone had a solution that would help get rid of the seatbelt marks thats left on the seats after a long period of time

or if anyone can recommend anywhere to take my car to get everything on the inside shmick in melbourne?

    Thanks!

    1. Take seats out on a warm dry day. Put them on an old bed spread or a a few towels

    2. Get a mixing bowl out of the kitchen and head down to your local shopping centre to get laundry liquid made for wool and delicates. Also some distilled water

    3. Vacuum!

    4. Get a brush, something not to harsh, and rough up the alcantara.

    5. Put a small amount of the delicate liquid into the bowl and dilute it into some distilled warm water.

    6. I used a microfibre towel to wipe it with as it does not leave cotton residue all over the seats..

    7. Slowly dab your mix at the troubled spots until satisfied and then continue to dab away with plain distilled water so you don't leave any soap in your seat.

    8. let it dry until the suns down and then take them inside over night and leave them there for two days under a towel so nothing else gets on them,

    9. When they're dry get your little brush and rough up the alcantara back to the nice texture it starts with...

i think thats it, worked a beauty on mine and i'll be doing them again soon!!!!!
    peace man

Alternatively you could buy a bottle of Meguiars interior cleaner, spray it on the affected areas and wipe off with a wet rag. It sorts the seat belt marks out no worries and you don't have to remove the seats!

2 bolts in the front and 2 bolts under the plastic at rear....they are no 14 socket.....dun forgot there is a seat belt cable under the seat.....un-plug it before you force the seat off ur car or you will break it.....I learn this the hard way....lucky I didn't break it......
you dun need to remove ur seat anywayz....like the post b4 mention....just buy the bottle and you will be fine.....

i use meguiars cloth and trim cleaner, it deep cleans and has a unique blend of fabric softners and optical brightners (thats wat the bottle says anyway haha) its all ive ever used and seats always come up a treat and smell nice.

does it take long for the meguiars cleaner to dry up after using it?

well i think meguires is fine and all for other fabrics but i would take the extra measure on the alcantara,

diluting a little in a focused woolen and delicates detergent i think would be a safer alternative, there would be nothin worse than a bad outcome, because it is very easy to get a real good outcome that makes your car a little brighter..

Does this meguairs stuff get rid of the shininess suede gets over a period of use?
