    Sound system advice

hey guys, i've had my sound system in storage for over a year and planning to put it in tmr. All i have is my subby, amp, and 2 speakers & 2 tweeters.

What cables do i need (any amp installation kits worth buying?)?
can i use the stock speaker wires or should i get new ones?

    thanks

You can get away with stock wires for the tweeter but imho, for the rest of your system, use a proper gauged cable

          or this one:

the last one is good as it is very tough and can handle a bit of abuse under carpets etc...

Amp your front two speakers and then bridge it for the sub.

Ideally you should get a good amp to power the sub separately.

What other kind of gear are you using ?

i'd amp the front speakers and bridge the amp for the sub....8g wire should be enough for this amp

if you do amp the front speakers, you dont really have to run new wires to the speakers, you can run new wires up to the headunit and connect it to the stock speaker cables. save alot of time this way

yes you can amp the front and and run the rear run off the HU, but you wont hear much form the rear speakers cos it will be over powered by the front

guess so....so with wiring the front speakers, do i just get new wire from amp to the front and connect that new wire to the old stock front speaker wire?

yeh seems alot easier this way. thanks for that.

where should i run the wires from the amp? (passengerside? middle thru ebrake? or driver side?)
i was planning to run the power wire thru the grommet behind glove box.
