Does anyone actually steal wheels anymore? If anyone stole my wheels they would need to have a GT-R to fit them to .

I went out of my way to get non-locking nuts for my new wheels because the convenience of being able to remove my wheels easily outweighs my fear of theft. I also have a habit of losing other people's locking keys (sorry TeMp and mugsee ).

If you must get locks I would get ones where each nut is a splined lock nut, and get steel ones because it will make it harder to hammer something over them compared to an alloy nut. That will make it so it takes the thieves the maximum amount of time to get them off.

What size hammer did you use to put the socket on?

yea definitely get some lock nuts and a decent alarm, my gfs rims on her lancer got stolen and they were the factory option rims... never thought it would happen. but seeing her car on bricks is very shattering.

I have tried almost every shock sensor on the market and really couldn't find one that worked perfectly. DEI ones are pretty good, but there hard to buy alone.

A digital tilt sensor works like a charm, jack my car up a few cm and hey presto the alarm goes off.

For the $100 they cost i think its worth it.

                        bad days...

Nah but if a theif wanted too, it is bloody easy to take off lock nuts.. without the use of a sledge, same with any bolt you completely round....

any large pair of multi grips will do this... instantly. once those teeth grab into the nuts its the same as using a wrench, cept you stand on it...

shock sensor is the only way to give yourself enough time to run outside with a hefty bat

I always love giving a good beat down. but if you want to get wheel locks try to find one that isn't common to where someone else might have the key.

It slows them down, and bamboozles them a tad. I think this is what saved my wheels from getting stolen at a train station. Some one had tried to take the nuts off, but chewed them up. Brand new Rays lugs too.

I was thinking of doing the same LOL...

Get 2 sets of Rays lock nuts and mix them up. (even they look the same, but there are 4 different types of lock nuts)
