importing EP3 type R

hi, i need some advise from u guys...... do you guys think its better to import ep3 through the net or some agents in here??? I'm so confuse now.

there is a website offer me a 05 ep3 JDM+ c package(no repaired history) from 1,550,000 Yen* and 1,750,000 Yen* FOB (price before shipping). and i know its about the right price which sell in japan 2.

so is it better to buy from the net or agent??? because there is no test drive for both....... which way is better???

and what are the difference between that???
e.g lower cost from net than the agent???

of course buy from agent its better to buy the one who already in australia so you can arragen pre-purchase inspection.

buying a car is not like a buying clothes online, gotta be careful otherwise you probably gonna keep the car forever (I mean re-sale is bad)

how can you arrange pre-purchase inspection if you have already paid for the car and shipping it from japan???

as far as i know, you have to pay first then they ship afterward if you dun pay they wont ship!!

You cannot just buy an EP3 and import it yourself. You should contact a Registered Automotive Workshop who can compliance this particular make and model of vehicle to ascertain whether they will compliance the vehicle and the costs associated etc. If you agree they will then proceed to apply for a vehicle import approval to import the vehicle. Once the vehicle is here they will modify the vehicle so that it complies with relevant ADR's and fit the vehicle with a plate.

Alternatively, instead of going directly through the Registered Automotive Workshop you can go through those car dealers (agents) who sell imported vehicles. All they do is deal with the workshop who is compliancing the vehicle and then sell the vehicles once complied. By going this way you could always test drive them before finalising purchase etc. as mentioned by Sai_ANN above.

This is very true. many RAW don't comply other people cars (ie. they only comply cars that they bought in Japan themself).

if u bought a car in japan and can't find a RAW to apply import approval/comply for you. you'll be in trouble. because only RAW can apply import approval for SEVS cars.

C white is the most common colour then black.

silver is only for C package (c = comfort) and red is the rarest.

only 4 colours avaible for JDM EP3.
