In my opinion it is probably worth trying to get them fabricated locally. These really do make a big difference in shift feel and smoothness.
Bungsai or Vippy; did any of you guys try the shifter bushings? Do they fit? I know that the dc5r/s have different shifter bushing but the bushings from strutking raise the type-s box slightly which may help.

i tried the shifter bushings.. but it was already aluminium.. so not worth replacing them..
matt, let me know when you want to machine down the cable shifter bushing.. we go together.. hehe.
What seems to be the consensus on the bushings? There seems to be mixed reports of what fits and what doesn't.
Type-S - all of them fit? (shifter bushings, shifter cable bushings (both))
Type-R - shifter bushings - already metal, no need to change
shifter cable bushings
- small pair (fit)
- large pair (does not fit, too big)
is this right?
Hi kabe,
That's correct. The bushings and cable bushings fit AUDM Type-S but NOT the AUDM Type-R. The larger pair of cable bushing is the problem for the Type-R and they seem to already have metal shifter bushings.
Also regarding the bushings, do you make them for the Jazz and Ep3r?

If someone can get the dimensions to me I can make one for the larger cable bushing. It'd be best to take the dimensions of the actual cable end with a caliper rather than the rubber bushing.

Can't get better than that guy's , It's man himself
Thanks Kabe
Just installed my shifter bushings, thanks to Rudi for the parts.
I have to say it wont completely fix the problem, but it does help. Especially in 2nd gear, it goes in alot better.
It take about 30 mins, and its cheap. Something I would say is worth it. Makes me wonder why Honda didnt just make them metal in the first place really.

Welcome mate,
I think it will work best with cable shifter bushings as well.
there must be a reason why they put rubber instead of metal or aluminium there. comfort? elasticity? less vibration?
