DC5R Break In @ Rhodes Carpark Level 7

Yo, just want to give heads up to everyone here that Rhodes carpark is still a thieves' playground for Type Rs.

    Friday 1pm-3:30pm

I move my car at every 3 hour intervals (so i don't have to pay for parking and work does not give us onsite parking) during the day. I was walking back to my car and saw the driver's side glass all shattered. The c**ts left my bonnet opened with the battery disconnected to cut out the stock alarm. To my surprise they didn't take anything, just left a few scratches in my interior due to the glass.

I guess they tried to steal the car, but perhaps spotted by people and got paranoid so they did a runner? Everything else was still intact. Who knows? Just lucky it's in my garage tonight.

Survival in Sydney Rule #1: Don't leave your car in 1 place for prolonged time. Anything more than 1 - 2 hour in the same place is not safe. Thief do scout at that targeted place for a prolonged time to know which car's there constantly or when they are there.

Rule #2.......i will think it up later

Yeh there arent any cameras in there. They only have surveillance around the entrance and exit gates.

Just make sure you guys park near the exit doors/lift areas when you park in there or any other carpark. I always try park around near the exit/lift areas, if not then right in front of the ramps with my car reversed in (that day i was lazy and parked head on first). Guess i got unlucky that day.

J@ndy I suggest you delete your comment about the Car you own and the location you park on.

Because you gave a pretty good description to potential thieves of when to steal your car.

Sorry to hear about your car Dc5r_168, but it could of been worse.

Horse power is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."
