40000KM/2Years Major Service Cost

Hi Guys,

My car is due for 40000KM/2Years service, it's an auto, so I guess it will be a bit more expensive. Usually, I service at Honda Eastwood where I bought the car from, but they're closing down the dealership for good ....

So I ring up Scotts Honda at Artarmon near my work and got quoted $840 for the service. Knowing it's a major service but I didn't expect it will be this costy. I'm wondering what you guys paid for your 400000KM service and where did you go?


My Only Mods on the Car are:
K&N OEM Replacement filter (<5000KM)
JDM Header with Custom Exhuast
TypeS Wheels with new Tyres (<5000KM)

I'm also thinking supply my own aftermark parts and engine oil to save the cost. Will they allowed to put these on for me?

have you considered getting it serviced outside honda dealership??? it will cost you alot cheaper.... and they will be the same if not a better job then the honda dealership could

yeh, i thought about it, i'm sure Hannys will do a better job than most dealers but i just don't want to void my warranty, 1 more year to go

Hanny's are an MTA workshop so the warranty will not be void. Any manufacturer that threatens this will lose in court any day of the week.

I did my 40,000km when i got my Type S, paid around 500bux... its all tests ><! oil/filter/air filter/tests, 500bux.

I think they need to change ur sparkies too from memory, but the Type S didnt.

i went to Hanny's the money i saved went into mods

their service is ok...

i wasn't too happy when they put on an extra 15kms when they did some warranty work on it (which did not require road testing the vehicle and they couldn't explain why) ><

Do NOT have your car serviced at Honda unless it is impossible to have it done anywhere else.

They are overpriced, take no care with your car and do not complete the required work.
