    Wheel alignment

I noticed the inner edge of my tyres are quite worn, the rest of the tyre is fine with about 3mm tread left in the main ridges
Do you reckon its worth getting a wheel alignment to correct the uneven wear and prolong the tyres or just wait till i get new tyres?

if it is all your tyres, it is probably your suspension height creating excessive camber...

BTW - that wear on your tyre very minimal... how many KM old are they?

get a camber kit, the stock itr camber adjustments are basicly nothing... then get a wheel alignment.

Thats prob the most worn tyre i don't think the picture shows the complete extent of the wear its a bit worse than the picture. I think the tyres are about 15,000km.
i might just ride it out for another 5,000 and then get new tyres and align it then thanks for the help guys

Is it possible that this wear is due to the tyres having been tracked? a friend of mine suggested this but his tyres were worn on the outer edge after going to wakefield

Outer edge wear is much more common unless you run heavy neg camber. Each groove generally gets worn on the outside too creating a zig zag pattern across the width of the tyre. Only toe and negative camber combined could create such tyre wear after a short distance.

                    i have this same problem
if you have lowered your car then is common (in DC2's), simply because your car is lower making ur shox and rims "squat"
lower the car, worse this will be
if you haven't lowered your car, get wheel alignment
its only take 20mins and cost around $35

Talk like Master Yoda, you do..

                      Hey Julian..
these tyres have never seen the track but the wear is probably from not having had an alignment..

get an alignment soon.. but saying that, even after the alignment, the inner edge of that tyre will still wear out quicker than the outside regardless of the camber..
hmm, im not making much sense atm.. what I'm trying to say is that that worn on side of the tyre will keep wearing out as wear is accelerated by the tyre leaning on that inner edge due to previous wear..
the alignment might fix it but dont expect the wear on that inner edge to stop..

best advice i think is to fix it/sort it out before you start invest on $350 tyres again
