    Dc5R & S

    Hey guys,
My mate is interested in buyin a type s but still weary of buying a type r, whats some difference excluding the interior and visible features, Between the two models.
Also can i have some insight on the differentials that the cars use.

Horse power is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."

IMO they both will track pretty well..

one thing that would sway me towards a Dc5R more so than the type S is

              1. WIdeband Sensor (type R) VS some narrowband (Type S)
              2. Ecu (KPRO) for the Type R is a bit cheaper for the TYpe R (no need to replace the above)
              3. Type S has these Airbag in seat things which can be annoying if you wanted to change them out
              4. and off course LSD..

but other than that i think the type S is very capable for been a street track car.

i think TypeS would be a better car if you plan on doing those light mods to it.
it doesn't make the car too harsh and so you can still use it daily.
same reason why i bought my TypeS

                  I agree with tofu!

But in the end it comes down to personal preference. Get your mate to test drive both cars and see which one he likes better.

Wlee2 has made 2 very good points about ecu and airbags which might need to be taken into consideration if your mate wants to change ecu or seats in the future. I guess its not a huge problem....just a little inconvenient.

tracking once a month is pretty damn often! i'd definitely go DC5R purely for the seats and LSD
