    Freight Forwarders

In my pursuit to get some Falken Azenis in 16" without getting a shipping quote of over $400. I want to try to get a freight forwarder in the states to give me a quote.

Has anyone here used one before ? and can reccomend one ?

Yeap looking at the 215/45/16, Dave I don't knwo how you manage to get such good shipping quotes.

tirerack i asked them and they can't get falkens, 1010tires is Canada based, and trust me dealing with shipping out of Canada is not fun. I wouldn't even bother with them, but I'll ask them anyways

I'm thinking i may as well go with the Bridgestone Potenza RE01-R they seem to be comparable to the Azeni's, probably end up being the same price

Well on the tirerack page, I specified the car, and opted for the 16" upgrade and it gave me the 01R as an option, so i think this tyre is safe to use.

It's not bad works out to about $250. a tyre which in my books isn't bad for a top of the line tyre.

01R is only load index 83 - so illegal in Australia...

i am looking at 160ea for the yoko's landed,

compared to 215ea for the same tyre fitted and balanced locally...

Really, thats weird, so our standards are higher than US standards ? thats surprising really, I would have thought otherwise, seems like when it comes to anything else US standards are higher.

Would it be dangerous to go with that tyre ? I assume it would be, but if there using them in the states i dont see why we cant.

p.s. Dave track down some Azenis in 16", you seem to be good at this stuff, instead of the Yoko's find some Azenis lol

Here are the guys I was talking too, maybe you can get a better rate for shipping than $440 US

                        http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2052576

215/45/16 Azenis for $91.00 US each

the load index relates to what is required on your car, it is not an indication of how good the tyre is...

We regret to inform you that due* to exorbitant price of shipping to *Australia,* we no longer provide shipping quotes.*We will ship you order by cheapest method if you place an order on-line.* All other conditional of International order will upply.

i guess Tirerack is the only viable option guys. All avenues exhausted
