    ALRIGHTY PEOPLEZ!

Removed the front bar and squeezed the resonator out.

I was surprised to how big and heavy the thing was!

    Put everything back together.

The sound is pretty good. Some heavy inducion noise! And looks standard in the engine bay!

Downside is that Im not sure; I feel as though I've lost power rather than gained it.

Is it the ECU? What should I do?

Just doesnt pull like b4 - which doesnt make sense! Theres more flow!

Im actually contemplating putting it back on...

    Any suggestions peoples?

well, it is not a CAI anymore...

but unless there is something majorly wrong, you will not actually be able to feel (via butt dyno) any power difference...

maybe it is an auditory effect?

But I thought it is more of a CAI because its sucking air in from the bottom of the air box rather than just taking off the cap from the top.

What if I ran some piping somewhere?

        Has anybody done this?

I wouldnt have done this if it was just an auditory effect...

I was under the impression that it would increase air flow

PS - which fuse is the ECU one?

I did a search and I found a similar fuse box with the ECU highlighted but I think it was DC5 because it does not match up.

apparently getting rid of the resonator should increase performance.. its just there to reduce noise surely..

            wtf?

Will be posting up some pictures of what I have done shortly.

Can anybody post up any ideas/picutres they have of running some custom pipes form the bottom of the airbox to the bottom of the car for cold air?

aggi pipe is fine, or the air cond duct, the 4 inch stuff is what i used in my old car...

I was going to run 120mm PVC pipe from the bottom of the air box to a smiler place the comptech ice box sucks from (behind blinker or little higher)

i bought a 2nd air box off eBay so i can modify it to make it fit 120mm PVC i just gotta get some time to do it, I'll post a pic when its done

                          i hope its noisy
