depends what u want out of the car.....

performance and cheap mods to get a sub 5 sec car? go the evo...
looks and comfort? go the RX8 - not cheap at all to modify.

for a previous Type R owner I think the evo 9 is definitely the way to go.

you'll be satisfied with the evo9.... you might not be as satisfied with the performance and handling of the RX8 (esp if your type R was modded).

RX8.. chicks dig it!! i wouldnt get it for performance though.. apparently the rings or some sh*t are really weak for turbo'n. rx8 with INGS bodykit looks really nice

but like the others said, look at insurance, running costs, service costs, etc. and whether you are after power or looks, tunability and parts available.. otherwise wait for evo X to come out!!

afaik rx8 will b slower around a circuit than dc2r or dc5r, similar thing on winding-road, and only slightly pip it in streight-line. so its not really an upgrade in terms of performance. but it apparently has great FR handling..
evo9 would b the performance choice for sure. it absolutely kills the rx8 in all aspects of performance. but its looks and interior not as classy.
have u driven both?

yeap...i drove both and love the evo's performance, and fould the rx8 is actually slower than my dc5 with moded bits. and the rear boot is really small, dun even can put something bigger..so i think i gonna get the evo 9 ADm
