    DC5S number plate

    haha finally got rid of the big ugly number plate holder on my type S today...screwed the number plate into the bottom holes left behind by the number plate holder, looks pretty good now
    but i got a hole rite in the middle of my bumper...i dont know how im gonna cover it up
    anyone else done the same thing? any suggestions?

    mine doesnt have a hole?
    buy a grommet and paint it the same colour as your car and stick it in!

      grommet was exactly what i was gonna say - can be found in most stores liek supercheap or autoone...

        what bottom holes are you talking about? when i removed my numberplate holder to check, i only remember one hole - the top middle one which i think you're talking about.

              im not sure if it would restrict air flow...i see them mounted this way on a lot of DC5's, can anyone confirm this?

                let us know how you go with patching the hole.
                I was thinking of doing the same thing. possibly get a plug for the hole. touch up paint may look a bit bleh though.

                I thought that maybe instead of doing a whole bumper respray, maybe use a mobile paint repair place like this:

                    how did you make up the brackets for it if you dont mind me asking and where did you get it, also how did you punch holes in for your brackets.?

                              just got some 90 degree bent brackets, had to drill some extra holes in the number plate and all should line up.......job done
