    New Honda Jazz

I just went into my nearby Honda dealer asking about when the new Jazz will be released in Oz, and they told me September 2008....

Why are we getting this car 10 months later than released in Japan?!?!
The sales person has no idea...anyone?

becos most likely we won't get the jap made ones and will continue to get Thai made ones.

it takes time for them to get tooling ready for new model.

This sounded very valid. Either way, i don't see how the new one can beat the existing one in any way (maybe only interior space)

The chassis was thoroughly reengineered and improvements have improved structural rigidity by 164 percent.

australia gets EVERYTHING after other countries like japan and the usa

its not only cars - other stuff like technology/mobiles/gaming consoles etc are always delayed compared to other countries

We did get the Jazz many years before the US of A did...

on top of this release date, i was told that there's a new Accord in feb-march and a new Euro in around June.

the Accord that's coming in feb-march will have the VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) technology where it changes between 6cyl, 4cyl or 3cyl depending on how much you step on the gas pedal.

we've got a smaller market for all those things. doesn't make sense from a distribution/profitability standpoint to release stuff to australia first.
