Need Some Opinions About A Trade

would you trade a 2002 type r with 75,000kms for a 1997 model cxi civic with
-minor head work, tien flex's, fully rebuilt 2000kms ago, s2000 front seats + much more..
its fully engineered and ran a 12.8 down the quarter on semi slicks and full interior..
the trade would be the cxi and $5000 for my dc5r..
if you guys could help me out it would be much appreciated!!

um.....first point is wht is ur purpose to got a car such as race, fun car or mainly daily drive? if u wanna trade becoz of the EK got alot of minor head work then i will stand for ur dc5r ......no matter how hard the EK try it never be a type r becoz the body of type r is tougher...however just for fun car or daily drive is more than ok!!! anyway hope u enjoy!!

was your car on sale first - and he/she offered the you the Cxi?

or what?

what is it you are after? a 12 sec car or a nice daily driver?

have you ever owned a fast car before?


do you realise for a Cxi to run a 12.8 it needs a turbo or a K20A???

im considering the swap because my dc5r has got 75k as soon as a type r hits a 100k they loose alot of value..
atm on carsales a dc5 r roughly the same as mine is worth 26ish..
i was thinking about doin some major work to my dc5r but how much can u spend on it??
so its not worth it in my opinion.
the cxi has got a k24a in it with minor head work..

First...if you think you may lose value after the car hit 100k....then you will be quiet busy changing car in ur life bro.....
Second.....if you trade it coz you plan to see track a lot and its not your daily....YES...But if the R is ur daily and you dun plan to see track much then it will be ...NO...
third......DC5R have lots of protential and the chassie design is heaps better compare to the EK.......just take time and I'm sure ur R will be a way better car in the near future....
