    Cusco rear strut brace DC2

I am looking at updating my rear strut brace to a Cusco part number 315 526A 40mm.
can anyone confirm that this brace will fit a DC2R with removal of the rear strut mount small plastic trim panels only......
as i want to keep the large interior side panels in place.

I think most aftermarket rear strut bars will require slight cutting of the large interior panels to fit. My Cusco rear strut is not as 'tall' as the OEM one so I simply cut some plastic out to fit.

There is a Cusco brace that is just the correct angle to avoid cutting of the interior paneling (which is what i am after) I am told there is a Spoon brace that is the correct angle as well.
I have seen photos of the Cusco but do not know the part number at this time, Cusco do three different rear strut braces for the DC2 that i am aware of.

Thanks for that feedback do you know the part number of your brace?
Would it be possible for you to post a couple of pics of it?
As i would like to see which brace it is and how much material was removed to make it clear the plastics.

No idea of the part number but here's a pic of it borrowed from JDM Concept:

Don't have a pic of it on my car but I think you have to cut about 1/2" of the plastic to fit it on.

Yes, was aware of this one on JDM concept do'nt know the pn either. I have sent them a email anyway, if i can get the pn from them i will be able to cross this one off the list.
leaving it will be between the other two Cusco pn's or the spoon brace.
The one i am after angles up from the brackets its not a straight bar like the example in the photo.
The Cusco in the photo is nearly the same as the Whitlilne bar but with out the quick realease mechanism.

              Thanks for that Dny.
It might be the spoon for me if i cant find any more information about the other 2 Cusco's.
Do you have the part number for the spoon brace?
Can you pm the supplier that you bought it from and the approx cost?

Spoon one does not require cutting.. you just cannot use the cover unless of course you want to cut the trim to make it fit

Sorry not sure abt the part numbers - got mine off a friend..

i have optional honda rear brace which fits without cutting.
does anyone know if mugen rear brace requires cutting of plastic trim?

^ Yes, to fit the Mugen brace, you will need to cut the plastic.
I've got a Spoon one and that does not require any cutting. The Mugen is one piece while the spoon is 3 piece.
