Before the 2007 Civic Type R Thread, I wouldn't have thought it "funny and hilarious", but I do a little now. My personal primary reason for owning a Type R is because it makes a great track car (but maybe not the fastest.) But from that thread it seems most people these days don't have that as their primary reason for buying a Type R. They buy cars for seating position, cargo space, price, badge, dash layout.
So if that's the majority of owners of Type R's these days, then why be excited over Spoon coming here?

People modify to suit their own taste, not everyone can stand to use say a BC3 exhaust and drive it everyday to work but they might enjoy the sound of a RM01A.
If you wanted a great track car then maybe the Elise would be a better optionhappyhong says:

I would love an Exige but having a family means needing rear seats...

Good opinion you have there chuck!
It's true that there are a few comments here and there which aren't in support, or rather, have little to no care of the enormous significance of Spoon, not only coming down to grace our lands, but even better, to play a huge part by signing up with Proconcept.
Unfortunately, it may seem as though; if there is no direct benefit for themselves in Spoon doing this, then some people won't care and hence, pass off a generalised negative attitude about it..
Motorsports and the growth of the car culture, especially JDM in australia isn't very important to some I suppose?.. I wouldn't be surprised!
It's kinda funny.. because I'm hearing alot of neg. feedback lurking around the air - esp from non-honda owners.g

The youn guns who could afford to buy brand new DC2R's back in the days probably have families now and their other half more than likely does not appreciate the rawness of the DC2R so for that demographic we have the new R'shappyhong says:
