    HID purchase, info, install...

    Hi All,

Looking to get HIDs for my DC5S. Can anyone suggest a good set to purchase and where from. Want good quality obviously as i wouldnt have a clue how to fix or troubleshoot. Can you tell me what HID kit you have, how much you purchased it for and where from.

In addition, can anyone advise where i can get an install done and how much that costs - i know how to change my bulbs, but thats as far as i go. Or if you're willing to offer your services - i guess i could follow the DIY we have here.

    Any help will be gr8!

    Regards
    Justin

I got mine off eBay for $200 delivered. They just flicker abit in the first 10 minutes that they're on but that's it...

Me and j0nbubz mounted mine underneath my headlights so no water can get to it...wasn't hard to do...just took off front bar then the headlights...secure ballast to headlight and that was it

get a kit with thin ballasts...and mount them under the headlight cluster.

Most of them are thin enough to be mounted underneath the headlight

Most ballast units should be waterproof if they state so.
I've tested this by driving through a few rivers in the 4wd

mm even though they claim to be waterproof - Im normally overly cautious of any amount of water getting on electrical equipment..

HECK! Im scared of washing down my engine bay!!
