haha define retrofitted?
It was an option at the dealer (that I forced him to let me do because he did not want to fit a sunroof to a DC2R).
It was not a factory fitted option - fitted by some mob called... hollandia in Sydney - so the dealer sent it off to get fitted when my car arrived ..
I believe that factory VTiR sunroofs are also hollandia (dont quote me)
Only one particular model fits because of the depth and thickness of the roof.
As far as I am aware, hollandia are very reputable (so it was not a case where the dealer tried to get the cheapest guy to do it). I have a hollandaise manual and warranty card which I think is 10yrs (I can check if you're interested)
I also believe that the sunroof that I have fitted has more open position options and auto-closing that the factory fitted sunroof does not have ... but i'm not exactly sure if thats the case
Hope that helps...:: Disciple of the DDang Driving School :: ..- Don't rev at me, I get scared -

well in my context,
original = fitted at factory line.
retrofitted = fitted after leaving factory i.e. at dealership or after purchase.
I'm starting to suspect that my sunroof was retrofitted as well considering it has exactly the same functionality that you described (more open positions and auto-closing function)

i think urs has a Honda stamp on it put there by the Honda dealership... all sunroofs on dc2r are "factory fitted" through the dealership option only... so u say u want a sunroof when u buy at the dealer and they get it fitted on... they probably just put the stamp there so u know (and future buyers of ur car) that it was an added option from the dealer, even if they use an aftermarket sunroof.
