Most noticable difference you will see straight away.. are the Red brembo Brakes on the JDM Dc5r, and the wheels are a nicer thiner spoke compared to the funny i think 5 spoke wheeel we have on a stock type R here..
the Aus delivered Type R is an US Model Type S which was rebadged.. thats why theres also an Engine Difference between the JDM and the AUDM.
AUDM no red rocker cover
engine power at the fly is also different.

While I agree the JDM DC5R (stock form) is quite in a league of its own but this is the same for most Jap spec sports cars from the Jap brand car makers (e.g. S15), as this is their way of keeping the best things for themselves. This watering down is really nothing new as seen back from the DC2R era.
Lets face it, to get the real deal here you either have to import it and find one that is already here.
was gona point out about how many times its been covered in ozhonda.. oh well mayb u r new and u wana find out exactly wot are the differences...
Temps links are all you need to look at... should have everything u needa to know...
cheers
Some of those links have incorrect or misleading information. For example, the UK link mentions that the JDM DC5R has an aluminium flywheel. Wrong.
The 2002-2004 RSX Type S has different ratios in the transmission to the AUS DC5R. I could go on.
Even Honda brochures sometimes get it wrong.
Maybe, we should look at setting up a spreadsheet (our own clubITR one) of the differences where the information is backed up by actual part numbers or inspection of the actual parts themselves.
