A light to tell you when vtec is on is a gimick IMO, on/off the track.

A shiftlight on the street... well... you must be pushing it way past legal speeds to use it on the streets..

On the track they def help. Especially when you're mid corner.

Shift lights rule. Drive hard in wet, when your wheels spin.. it's awsome for. TBH, I didn't think it was nessecary when my DC2R was stock, as it reved out a Hell load slower than it does now. But now that i'm getting slight traction issues in the dry when vtec kicks in, in 1st it's the best thing ever. The pivot 4 LED shift lamps rule!

Next time, I'd tell the manufacturers on the cars I buy to remove them from the standard instrument cluster assy.

i have a digital tach (for rice factor) w/built in shift light (that part is for race). 90% of the time i drive my car with silencer in and know when to change gear.. when i do autokahana and take the silencer out i found i was changing gears wayyyy to early but the sounds of a bc3 at 6000rpm makes me think im redlining it. so i installed the shift light to fix this problem..

..mind u, im taking a break for a while so havent had the chance to test it out on race track yet.
