Yup I bought mine at 40,000kms and now has 72,000.

The only thing with mine so far is the clutch died at about 46,000kms due to some hard driving.

yeah mines running perfectly. Done 84,000km's. not burning a drop of oil. although I don't drive hard regularly. sydney roads and aftermarket coilovers don't go well together!

Mine is getting a few creaks and rattles and the rubbers are starting to look a bit the worse for wear.

As to functionality it still seems pretty good. The original clutch is j-u-s-t starting to go out. Before I got new shocks if I jacked up one corner of the car the nearside wheel would stay on the ground, it was also just starting to 3 wheel if I braked very hard into turns. With new shocks if I jack up one corner the nearside wheel goes up with it (same as it did when new).

This is on a car that I’ve had from new and is almost 6 years old, 125,000km and has done around 30 track days. Pretty good reliability for a daily driver if you ask me (which you did). Not bad for an almost stock car.
        Honda DC2R Integra

If I change the nut behind the wheel then my sloppy lines improve and I can get some consistency to sort out my iffy handling, my worrying lack of braking ability goes away, after that I can start fretting about my suspicious lack of straight line grunt.

Well if you were to find a good conditioned DC2R say with 100,000km what would be a decent price for it ? I'm still on the search as i just had a hard decision picking between the dc2r and an Autech S15 (NON TURBO 147kw 175nm). The only thing that made me pick the dc2r was its lightness and the fact its fwd for the driving style im after !

man, so many guys here owned their DC2R's for many KM...

must be a testament to how good they are to own as a car i guess?

BTW - i my DC2 - even though it is not a pure Type R version...

HI I found one in very good nick with 108XXKM it had full logbooks and even a sunroof the only blemish was a dent the size of a 20c coin which could be easily fixed by the dent man he was asking 21k, but I could;ve easily had it for 20k. Missed out though as I am still selling my car. It got sold not long ago.

I also found the most immaculate DC2R with 40,000km, it got sold 2hrs after looked at it for 23.8k.. I'm still spewing. Full logbooks and all, not evena blemish on it. The Recaros were paractically new and it was an 01 model.

picked up my DC2r a month ago with full Honda service history. Its done about 92,000ks and first thing i did was to give it a timing belt kit change. I had a good look at the Honda receipts and it details every inspection the car has gone through. I have no double that the car will last a very long time so long as you keep up with the regular servicing and maintenance. The more time spent in the garage with the car, the more i am impressed with the built quality. Unfortunately, the wife is not too happy about it but at least she reckons it looks heaps better than my previous car, a BNR32

Congrats on the new purcahse. No doubt you are enjoying it!!!

Just a question what is the ballpark figure of a timing belt change?

Timing belt = 80,000km/4 years or is it 100,000km/5 years?

There was a yellow DC2R 66,000km advertised for 23.5K in melb and was sold in like a couple of hours! ARG... As you know i picked the DC2R over the Autech S15. Back on the hunt again Its ridiculous the price people ask for (eg. 26) just cause the kms are like 50,000km! The car is nearly 10 years old damn it

Well the demand is there, theres just no supply hence the price they want is so stupid! So how long have you been on the hunt for now ? Its 2 months for me now Honestly i dont care what colour it is ! As long as its a DC2R! Arg times like this colour should be the last thing you worry about. If i buy a red one and you find a yellow one lets swap cars ! Unfortunately red is my least liked colour Dont hate me!

I'd take it in any colour too. Blacks my least favourite (too hard to keep clean!) but I'm willing to settle for one as well haha. We are desperate

I've been looking for 6 months now, so triple you! However I haven't been looking as hard as I shoudl be. Test driven 5 examples now and liking them more and more after every drive

Yellow is fast becoming my #1 colour
I used to hate CW white but it has grown on me too! hell I'm desperate I'll take mine in any colour...

Only thing is I prefer low kays and no mods and willing to wait a long time for that perfect one to pop up. As I still have my current car..

Surely there's a perfect example tucked up in a garage somewhere!

i believe the DC2R will hold its value extremely well for a very long time due to a few reasons such as:

                              1) it is very limited in production
                              2) its the rawer compared to the DC5r. IMO a very driver-oriented car
                              3) its still a relatively young car compared to other sports coupes like skylines, silvias, etc
                              4) a piece of jap automotive history

I got mine at a very good price and more importantly, it comes with full Honda service history and completely stock. Coming from a RWD/turbo background, i have little idea about the integra but my perception of it soon changed when I went for a test-drive. I know that I have to get one

Wu - i believe there are 2 DC2r currently for sale on Ozhonda.com. If you cant find a clean model around your area, try interstate.

Rule of thumb for timing belt is every 100,000ks. I have plans to track my DC2r so the last thing i want to worry about is the belt snapping during high revs. Since everything had to come off, I also took the opportunity to change the tensioner, water pump, cam & crank seals. It was my first time changing the belt on a east-west engine and the space is SO limited
