Advice for keyhole repair/replacement

So this must have happened sometime last weekend because I didn't even notice it until my girlfriend pointed it out because I've always locked/unlocked the car using the remote.

But it looks like some prick tried to break into the car by using a screwdriver or something to pry the keyhole. Even scratched the handle.
Strangely, it was the passenger door that they went to town on.



My question is, is this something that only a Honda dealer can repair/replace because they have to match the shape of the key?
Or is there an alternative?

Just the thought of dealer pricing makes me feel like I wish they succeeded in stealing it so I wouldn't have to go through the bullshit.

Any advice appreciated.

I'd imagine you'd have to buy a new key barrel and get it matched with your current key at Honda. Maybe a locksmith can do this too if you bring the new barrel and a copy of your key can do this too but I am not certain.

I'm sure you can buy a used barrel from the wreckers, and bring the barrel and your own key to a locksmith to have it rekeyed. I did something very similar a fortnight ago.

Bought a second boot lid for my S2000.
Lock smith rekeyed the barrel for the boot to match my keys.
Charge was $30.
