it was posted in here somewhere or on OH that someone saw the car at the motor show and the tip is apparantly not triangle shaped just a round tip that hides in the bumper. so with any luck shouldn't be much of a problem getting an exhaust

That means we will get a different spec exhaust just like the AUSDM DC5R then....cos the JDM spec DC5R exhaust sounds better and is less restrictive than the AUSDM one

BTW, Honda U.S always get a detuned version anyway. I don't remember a ITR even make it there.
Sure they may or may not deliberately do it but I think it's also due to the fact that Japanese regulations in terms of emissions and fuel standards as well as lots of other rules/regulations are much much different to the rest of the world (I'm sure they're stricter in many aspects). As a result you get a car suited for the Japanese market that runs on Japanese fuel suited for japanese roads etc. As soon as you export it to say the US or Australia, the regulations change and u probably get a less powered car as it was orginally designed for JDM use.

eg Cant believe we use 91 RON fuel as standard. Testament to Australian oil productions standards (which rolls on to affect emissions standards etc). Europe use 96RON. Japan similarly too.

Actually, the power output difference is not the main part of the uniqueness we are talking about. Its other goodies like Brembo Brakes, Rims, Tyres and etc.

yeah true... but I guess they are competing in a different market so have to suit the market - which meant for the DC5R trimming the brembos and 17"s to make it more price competitive...

oh sorry my bad up to the TypeS there wasnt, but in my point of view too be a R it should have most of the sports feel if you know what I mean eg recaros, brembos etc, hope all of a sudden they decide to release and sporty model

Yeah...I dun think Honda Aus did too well with the new Type-S either...since I dun see that they have sold more Type-S than the Type-R that came out according to how many Type-S I've seen on the road

I dun think HA has headed the right direction yet with it's sports car market

That's even worst than the Jap spec...at least they keep the Type-R traditional colour (Championship White colour exterior with Red Honda Badges) still on the new Civic Type-R that's due to come out end of this month
