    Here are some tips, and believe me i have done my research on this.

    1. Use two buckets 1 with soapy water, 1 with clean water. Rinse the mitt in the clean water.

    2. Do not use dish detergent, use good quality car wash.

    3. Clean all leaves and debris first, and rinse the car well.

    4. Do not wash in a circular motion, lightly move the mitt from side to side front to back, use the mitt lighlty let the detergent do it's work.

    5. Wash starting from the roof down, make sure u do all the windows.

    6. Use a separate mitt for the wheels and exhaust and the lower lower under panels of the car.

    7. Rinse each section at a time. Try not to use a jet more of a flooding appraoch, angle the hose so water sheets off.

    8. Use a chemille wash mitt, or a lambswool one. No sponges or cheapo's, ull pay for it later.

    9. Use a microfiber drying towel, you can pick them up at woolworths in the mop section for about 5 bucks, called "one wipe" They work really well. I clean woolies out when they have em on sale for 2 bucks.

    Thats it, i wash my car at home with buckets so eh its all good for me.

    Lastly if u drop any mitts or drying towels on the ground DO NOT REUSE THEM

          $4 Wash:
          Need: bucket, wash mitt and $4
          They dont allow you to bring these things.. so wash at night

          * Insert $2:
          1. High pressure soap the whole car (1min)
          2. Fill up bucket (15 secs)
          3. Dab your car with triple foam stuff.

          * Use your own sponge/wash mitt to clean your car

          * Insert $2
          1. High pressure soap again (1min)
          2. High pressure hose off the soap

            nam if u had a black car it would be swirl city. Never use a sponge

            High pressure hoses are not reccomended for car washing, they really do destroy the paint.

                      In Norwest there's a supercheapauto, behind the BP.

                      North stratty I can't think of any except for AutoPro in Five Dock or Repco @ Auburn on Parra rd.

                        Repco and Autobarn in Lidcombe on Parra Road...that's about it...The Repco is closer to the carwash though...it's near the Maccas...

                        BTW the tap at the carwash runs really slow so you'd ideally only use it to fill up your bucket with the detergent!

                            I reckon norwest would be better as supercheapauto have all the parts you needed.

                            Not kidding about the mud... but don't worry... there's 3 DIY bays there.
                            And the mud is gone the next day as they are staffed during the day. If you go tonigt, gimme a buzz and I'll pop down to say hi.
